Microsoft outsources internal IT to Infosys

United Kingdom IT services provider Infosys has taken on a wide range of internal IT services for Microsoft globally. It will charge the software giant in relation to results.

Under the three-year agreement, Infosys will provide helpdesk and desk-side services, as well as infrastructure and application support. It includes 450 locations in 104 countries.

Microsoft wants Infosys to streamline the implementation process, simplify support and services, and lower costs MCTS Training.

Infosys will also help Microsoft implement ISO 20000 and ITSM processes.

"Infosys will deliver this engagement in an outcome-based pricing model, enabling Microsoft to associate and manage IT costs directly to business variables and demand," said Sanjay Jalona, vice-president and head of manufacturing North America at Infosys.

"Infosys demonstrated that it understood our transformational goals by introducing a flexible and innovative end-to-end approach to manage our support infrastructure," said Jim DuBois, general manager of service management at Microsoft MCITP Certification.
