CompTIA A+ and MCTS Certification Exams
Each student in the program will be registered to take two CompTIA A+ Certification exams, and two Microsoft MCTS certification exams. The price of one complete set of four (4) exam vouchers is included in the program fee. If the student passes the two CompTIA A+ exams they will be A+ Certified, and if the student passes the two MCTS exams they will be MCTS certified. If the student fails to pass any certification exam, he/she would be responsible for paying the fee(s) to retest.
* Through our status a CompTIA member and a Microsoft IT Academy, we are able to make discounted vouchers available to our students for retesting.
he PC/Network Technician Program at STCC involves 160+ hours of hands-on instruction to prepare for the CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician MCTS) certifications and an opportunity to participate in real-world internships. The course material goes well beyond the scope of the exams and focuses on preparing the student to be successful as a PC/Network technician. The program covers all the material necessary to pass the CompTIA A+ Certification exams and the Microsoft (MCTS) exams.
Each student receives an extensive reference library and a PC tool kit to keep. The classes are held on weeknights and Saturdays. An updated schedule of specific dates, classrooms and labs is maintained on the Center for Business and Technology (CBT) Website. The program is taught by professional instructors with thousands of hours of teaching experience who are CompTIA , Cisco, IBM, and Microsoft Certified. CBT has been offering A+ training since 1997 and has an 85-95% pass rate for students taking the exams.
In order to earn the A+ Certification, the student must take the Essentials and one job-role exam--this program prepares students for the CompTIA A+ Essentials Exam and the IT Technician exam. This program also prepares the student for the two Microsoft MCTS certification exams. The MCTS certification also counts towards MCP certification. So once a student passes the four exams he/she will have the following credentials CompTIA A+ Certified IT Technician, Microsoft MCTS Training, and Microsoft MCP certifications. This program is designed specifically for CompTIA exams 220-701 & 220-702.

First Impressions Of Windows 7
Honestly, could it be any worse than Vista was or whatever name they decided to call it in the end. No matter how they changed the name the concept just didn't work well. Maybe it did in theory but the actualization of it lost a little something. And with scarcely a month under its belt, what are users saying about this latest product in the Microsoft lineup? Well, some of the bugs are still being squashed but being that it is coming on the heels of Windows Vista; it has got to look pretty darn good to those who are trading in that for Windows 7 with MCTS Trainnig.
Microsoft did have users test their new operating system before it was made available to the general public. Of the 550 users who test Windows 7 before its release, many had at least minimal familiarity with Windows products prior to this trial. Of these 550 users, 61% are using the system for home and personal use mostly, 25% said they were using it for both home and work equally and about 14% found themselves using it almost entirely for their business needs. The testers were also split between users who installed the Windows 7 operating system into a clean computer, and users who installed it directly over Windows Vista.
The results of this testing were very good for Microsoft and Windows 7. Only a very small fraction of the testers has trouble with the installation of Windows 7, which is to be expected when you are installing any new operating system onto a PC. The one area of the installation which caused the most issues for the testers was compatibility with drivers and other software, which again is to be expected when installing a new operating system. A handful of the testers did end up having their computer crash during the installation process, however the percentage of users who encountered this was very small. This testing helped Microsoft prove that the installation of Windows 7 is significantly better than the Windows Vista installation, and the very small number of issues that arose during testing should not be a concern for consumers.
In general user experience has been beneficial with only about 5% of people reporting that they were not satisfied with the overall performance of the operating system itself. As compared to the test run for Windows Vista before it was released, this had about half the users complaining about it before it got out of the gates like MCTS Certification.
Microsoft's promise of their best operating system ever may have finally come true with Windows 7. Microsoft learned many hard lessons from the Vista operating system, and took those lessons, along with significant feedback from the user community into consideration when developing Windows 7. That being said, there are of course some bugs and glitches in the Windows 7 operating system, but Microsoft is hard at work resolving those issues, and distributing patches and updates automatically to Windows 7 users. As long as Microsoft remains diligent in fixing Windows 7 issues as they arise, then their is no reason why any PC owner should not upgrade if they have the chance. This is especially true if you are still using Vista and it is making you miserable.

MCTS Certified best job, create the best resume
During every recession, there are two categories of unemployed workers. The first group consists of people, who have been laid off regularly and so have experience creating a resume. The second group has held the same position for many years and has no idea where to even start to put the resume together. Both groups, can get excellent help from a professional resume writing service. Professional resume writers can ensure that your resume has a professional look and, most important of all, has no errors MCTS Training.
In the old days, the resume was created to look good when printed out. The best plan was to give it a professional look that stands out and have a professional print shop print it on a tasteful cream-colored paper. These days, the electronic version, has taken precedence because it is presented to recruiters and employers in electronic format. There is a difference of opinion about which is the preferred file format for the electronic resume. Some say that the .pdf format (Adobe Acrobat) presents in a more professional light. Others believe that the Microsoft Word format is preferable. Both sides of the argument make sense, but I lean more toward recommending Word format. In most instances the resume is electronically parsed to put the information into database fields. This is an argument in favor of an uncomplicated format. A complex layout is more likely to be scrambled during this process. More than once I have seen my resume turn my position as a writer for Butler Service Group into a position as a Butler for Service Group.
As you write the resume, the guiding principle is that you should present your assets in a way that lets the potential employer know how hiring you can be to the benefit of the company. Yes, they are interested in where you worked. But even more, they want to read about the traits that will make you a valuable employee for their company. Of course, whenever you add an objective, you need to create a new copy of the resume for each objective.
This leads directly to the next point, electronic resumes have a great advantage over printed ones because they can be changed at any time. The resume folder on your computer should contain a number of custom resumes that you have used in different situations. It is more than just the objective that changes based on the current opening. You may need to also change the focus of your description of each of your previous jobs.
The traditional resume in the past consisted of just the objective and the history of employment, education and organizations, these days additional information is expected. Below the objective you should add sections that spell out your skills and qualifications. These sections allow you to highlight things you have done, skills you have acquired, and ways you have improved the company.
When you get together the best resume you are capable of, the last step is to read it, read it again, and have someone else read it. The last thing you want to do is to send out a resume with a spelling or grammar error MCTS Certification.

Launch Events for Visual Studio 2010 and Office 2010
It’s been a while since I last posted, so I thought I’d blog about a freebie from Microsoft as my triumphant return to the IT Humidor MCTS Certification.
Coming up this month will be the launch of Office 2010, Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2008 R2, and SharePoint 2010. To kick things off, Microsoft is holding launch-events in various parts of the country. Be a part of the launch of Microsoft’s new products, (and take home free copies of the software,) by signing up for an event in your area. For those of you who can’t make it to a live event, there will also be a live keynote by Stephen Elop, President of Microsoft’s business division on the launch of the new software suites.
There are two paths for each event, IT Pro and Developer:
Microsoft Announces Beta Exam for 71-680: TS: Windows 7, Configuring
Microsoft has announced that April 27th will be the day that they make the Windows 7 beta exam open to the public. This will be a similar exam to 70-620 which focuses on configuring Vista, and 70-270 which is all about Windows XP Pro. No news yet if the Windows 7 exam will count towards MCSA/MCSE, but you’d better believe that it’ll count towards MCITP: Enterprise Administrator. MCTS Training You will obtain a stand-alone Technology Specialist (TS) designation with the exam, just as with other next-generation Microsoft exams. For some documentation, take a look at the Windows 7 Technical Library Roadmap. For a good discussion on the ins and outs of the exam check out the dedicated thread on Certkingdom.com.
